Mela was diagnosed with neuroblastoma on July 14th, 2020. Since that day, she has undergone multiple surgeries and has been hospitalized for over 70 days. Despite all the complications she has endured the last 3 months, she has been able to complete 4 rounds of chemotherapy. She still has two more rounds of chemo, a tandem stem cell transplant (will require 60+ days in the hospital and 120 days as a resident of Ronald McDonald house in case of any complications), radiation, and multiple cycles of immunotherapy. If all goes as planned without any further complications, she will be in treatment until December 2021.
The family would LOVE to see photos of you in your #MelaStrong shirts! Send them, if you’d like, to their Facebook page.
Thank you so much for your continued support of our sweet girl!
